Instructions for use

VI PRP-PRO | PRP tubes enable the simple, safe and rapid production of blood components (e.g. platelet gel, fibrin gel, bone marrow cell gel) and are intended for the use of autologous blood products.

The purpose of this medical device is to administer locally high concentrations of growth factors, such as those found in platelet concentrate. It may also provide cells involved in repair, supporting tissue and temporary fibrin scaffolding, and promoting cell migration.

The PRP tubes must be used by specially trained medical personnel and possibly under medical supervision.

Therapeutic efficacy depends on the intrinsic quality and the production of the blood components. This medical device enables the production and

Activation (gelling) of blood components. VI - PRP-Pro is not therapeutic in itself. The most important indications for the use of this

The medical device consists of the treatment of acute wounds, chronic ulcers of the skin, subcutaneous or mucocutaneous tissue as well as bone injuries, subcutaneous injections/fillers and strengthening of the hair roots.

The method based on this preparation is called "Buffy Coat" and requires PRP tubes that differ from the "Empty Test" (simple vacuum blood collection tube), which produces serum rather than a concentrate. These tubes are not capable of sedimenting the blood with high precision and producing a high PRP concentration. Furthermore, they do not allow for the extraction of only the intermediate layer (PRP).

Additionally, the plastic of the simple vacuum blood collection tubes contains micronized silicone, which can also induce platelet activation. All of this

The centrifugation process results in a platelet-free serum that cannot be used for PRP.

VI PRP-PRO | PRP tubes are not made of plastic and do not contain micronized silicone!

The composition is optimally balanced to achieve maximum biological effect. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is also known as autologous platelet gel, growth factor-rich plasma (PRGF), or platelet concentrate (PC). It is essentially an increase in the concentration of autologous platelets contained in a small amount of plasma after centrifugation of the patient's blood.

The PRP tubes are available in the following vacuum capacities: 9ml .

MAXILLO - FACIAL SURGERY

Reconstructions of the lower jaw, dental implants, tonal and oropharyngeal fissures;

Ear, nose and throat medicine

Neck and head surgery, facial or nasal fractures;

Tooth alveolus lesions; breast augmentation; mandibular reconstruction; bone graft; oronasal fistula; lip repair; rhinoplasty and septum rhinoplasty; facial fractures

PLASTIC, RECONSTRUCTIVE, AESTHETIC SURGERY

Skin flaps, muscle-skin reconstruction, mammoplasty; face and neck lift; musculocutaneous flaps and reconstruction; chronic ulcers; breast reconstruction and mammoplasty; craniofacial reconstruction; adjunctive to laser facial treatments

GENERAL MEDICINE, GERIATRICS, DIABETOLOGY, HEMATOLOGY, GENERAL SURGERY, DERMATOLOGY, RADIOTHERAPY

These are specialized areas where ulcers or acute or chronic fissures, primary or secondary, could find therapeutic support in the use of platelet gel.

Precautions

The medical device may only be used by experienced personnel and only under certain conditions.

Use PRP with particular caution in the following cases:

• acute or chronic infections at the surgical site;

• uncontrolled metabolic disorders such as diabetes, osteomalacia, thyroid dysfunction, severe kidney or liver diseases;

• Long-term therapy with cortisone;

• Autoimmune diseases;

• Radiation therapy.

Patients with congenital or acquired functional platelet defects may release fewer growth factors.

In cases of thrombocytopenia, it is very difficult to obtain a platelet-rich concentrate for clinical use. The platelet gel is reabsorbed within a few days. No toxicity has been described in tissues treated with the gel. Standard monitoring procedures or prophylaxis against infectious complications should be used. Growth factors from the platelets induce cell proliferation.

The use of platelet gel is contraindicated in cases of suspected malignant degenerative lesions. To ensure tissue regeneration, the PRP must be introduced exclusively into viable tissue and in direct contact with the tissue (if necessary, by making micro-incisions on the tissue surface).

By following these instructions for use, this medical device can produce PRP with a platelet concentration 4-5 times higher than the original blood sample (1 x 10⁶ platelets/microliter ± 20%). Growth factors and chemotactic mediators from the platelets are released primarily passively (i.e., without platelet activation). Therefore, platelet gel can be produced from the blood of patients taking oral anticoagulants, heparin, calcium heparin, platelet aggregation inhibitors, and cyclooxygenase inhibitors.

Part of the release of growth factors may depend on the activation state of the platelets. It is therefore advisable to delay the release of the

Wait for growth factors to be released if the patient is taking cyclooxygenase inhibitors or anti-platelet drugs. No interactions with systemic or topical agents are known. The intended use does not include adding medications to the platelet gel. If platelet gel is used for bone regeneration, the gel can be used with certified animal bone or certified biocompatible materials.

VI PRP-PRO - APPLICATION PROTOCOL

The production of PRP involves drawing autologous venous blood (from the patient being treated), which is then centrifuged and concentrated (using a method called Buffy Coat). Anticoagulant: Sodium citrate 0.8 ml, sodium citrate pH 6.5/7

After blood is drawn, the sample is centrifuged (rotation/centrifugal force depends on the centrifuge) until three layers are obtained:

  • platelet-poor plasma (platelet-poor plasma-PPP)
  • platelet-rich plasma (platelet-rich plasma - PRP)
  • red blood cells

Set the centrifuge to the following parameters:

1200 RCF (g) (for Hettich EBA 200 at 3400 rpm) for 7 minutes for angle or inclined rotor centrifuges.

Depending on the centrifuge/rotor, you can use the following converter to determine the required speed for best results:
